PURCHASE / SHIPPING / RETURNS POLICY

NOTES:
I take great care packing anything that I send to you, and really want your one of a kind items to arrive undamaged so that you can enjoy them.  I can email  additional photos for your better evaluation so you can be sure what you are ordering is satisfactory.  Email me with any requests for additional photos.

PAYMENT
We accept payments through PayPal.  It is a very secure method of payment, and makes it possible for you to use your credit card to pay for purchases.

All orders are shipped the day after payment is received, (providing that the Post Office is open and it is not a holiday or Sunday.)  Each item is described to the best of my knowledge and will have photos posted near the description to show what it is. You may request additional photos by email.

HOW TO ORDER  
Email me with all the details of whatever you wish to buy. Also include your name and address with zip code so that it can be used to figure shipping charges.  My return email will include the total amount including shipping charges for your approval.  If you wish to buy the item just click on the link, or go to the PayPal site and pay for your item.  As soon as I verify payment, then I will ship your package.  NOTE:  I will be adding an easier method later this year, a shopping cart, or PayPal buttons. 

SHIPPING
The cost of Shipping Insurance and Delivery Confirmation is included in your purchase total.  The insurance covers shipping loss or damage for the amount of the purchase.  Delivery Confirmation lets me know that your package was delivered to the address that you supplied.  I currently ship only within the mainland United States.  I pay the cost of Delivery Confirmation. 

SHIPPING METHODS
I use the U.S. Postal Service (USPS). Items can be shipped by these methods:

Parcel Post/Ground          (2-7 days)
Priority or Flat Rate Box   (2-3 days)

Note: If you live within a couple of states of Tennessee, then Parcel Post is cheaper, and get there just as fast as Priority Mail (2-3 day).  The further the distance, the more it would be to your advantage to have it shipped Priority.

RETURN POLICY
Note:  If an item is substantially not as described I will allow a return on it.  Other returns will be considered on a case by case consideration.  Please request additional photos if you are not sure before ordering that it is the item you want.

Vinyl records are not returnable.  I examine each one under high magnification to determine the grade and if there are imperfections of any kind and then put them back into their original sleeve.  I do not play them to see how they sound.  There is no way for me to verify if this has been done after they leave my hands, or that they have been damaged, and few scratches can make a lot of difference in what they are worth.  If in doubt, ask for photos, and I will email them to you.
 
If you wish to return an item contact me by email within 14 days of delivery of your item to arrange for its return and a refund of the purchase price.  Jewel Antique will then acknowledge your return request by email and specify a return shipping address.

You will ship the item back to me within 3 working days of the email acknowledgement.  The item must be returned through the original carrier, in its original packaging, insured for its purchased price, and must be received in the same condition as when it was shipped to you.  Items returned not as originally sent, damaged, or parts missing will not be accepted for refunds.

We recommend you use delivery tracking and get a delivery receipt.  Buyer is responsible for paying the return shipping and insurance.   After we verifiy the returned item is as originally sent, we will  issue a refund.

ITEMS DAMAGED OR LOST IN THE MAIL

Please do not return items damaged in shipment, as it will void the shipping insurance.  Damage claims can only be made on items shipped with insurance.  If you discover that an item has been damaged in shipping, first contact us and let us know the item has been damaged.   Be sure to retain all original packaging as well as all pieces of the damaged item, as the shipping agent will request to examine them. 

Insurance claims should be made through the original shipping agent.  If you are filing the insurance claim, Jewel Antique will provide you with the necessary insurance information.  Items that do not arrive, or are lost in the mail are also handled through the U.S. Post Office Claims process.  Be sure to contact Jewel Antique so that we can guide you through the process.For information on filing a claim through USPS go to this link:
